Coin Show Information

Wilmington is known for its popular, weeklong North Carolina Azalea Festival celebration held each April. The club has sponsored a coin show as one of the festival's big events since 1970, having begun its first show with 10 dealers in 1963; it now hosts 30-35 dealers and 40 tables. For more information on the festival visit www.ncazaleafestival.org

This show, and our Fall Show held the third weekend in October, annually draw hundreds of visitors during show hours Saturday (10-5) and Sunday (10-4) at the American Legion hall on Pine Grove Drive adjacent to the city's municipal gold course.

In addition to the usual bourse activities of buying, selling, and viewing coins, currency, and related collectibles and literature, both shows feature exhibits, literature and club displays, and a major fund raising raffle. Tickets are available from members prior to the shows and at the door, where one ticket accompanies each $1 admission donation. Show prizes have included 1-4 U.S. gold coins and 10-15 silver eagles for each raffle.

This years Fall Show will be held Sat Oct 18th and Sun Oct 19th and the Azalea Festival show will be held on Apr 4th and Sun Apr 5th at the American Legion Post 10 on Pine Grove Rd, 1/4 mile North of Greenville Loop Road. Come see the coins, exhibits and information booths. We’ll see ya there.
