                                                                                History and Purpose:

The Lower Cape Fear Coin Club (LCFCC) was founded in 1963 by 12 charter members for a dual purpose that continues today.

1.  The club provides a forum for members in numismatic fellowship, buying and selling coins, currency (paper money), and similar materials and related history and information.

2.  We also promote numismatics throughout the greater Wilmington area through coin shows and other means to educate the public about the hobby of coin collecting.

The club is a long-time member of and supports the American Numismatic Association (ANA) and the North Carolina Numismatic Association.  We do not perform appraisals, broker sales, or perform other functions normally associated with the business of legitimate dealers.  We will offer advice to those who seek these services.  The club is governed by a Constitution and By-Laws and is incorporated in the State of North Carolina.
